The dirty hand of man to wit
Hast tolled the bell once more
For death now walks on chicken legs
Upon your filthy shore
MRSA hinted thus, to H5N1 do
Hast thou seen Clostridium difficile?
That bugger’s on a killing spree too!

The Media tells some tales to fright
And how life is precariously hirsute
But the Rulers want no public scare
They just want you sweet and mute
Government Ministers are obfuscating
The truth is strangled at birth
Life and commerce must not suffer
Though chickens, (Your favourite food)
Are treated like dirt
So the continuing official advice is:
Don’t Panic!

Go and behave with normality
Binge-drink, before thy KFC-ing
Eat anything that smells of chicken
Get-obese, enjoy your Mac Donald-ing
Rejoice in thy standard of living
You have nothing to fear but fear itself
And to prove it so, some Politicians
Are quite prepared to publicly endanger
Their young by feeding them
Dodgy beef-burgers in the midst
Of a mad-cow scare

Government come and go
Like the passing of the wind, but
Politicians remain to corrupt and disrupt
Though, they are too soon wrapped-up
In their own petard
To be focusing anywhere else
But directly up their own arse
